Part-time Pianist

We are looking for a church pianist who will provide musical accompaniment as a part of our Sunday worship service each week.  The pianist will also assist the music director at choir rehearsals on Sunday mornings following worship. Occasional special services will be necessary, including on Christmas Eve, Holy Week, and Easter Sunday. The pianist is an essential part of our worship service, as we believe every part of worship from music to scripture reading to the sermon and sacraments help us to tell the story of God's love for us. Currently our worship service is a blended service of hymns and contemporary worship songs, but this is flexible based on the gifts and talents of the pianist and the volunteer musicians at the church.

Skills Expected

• Commitment to prepare for worship and choir rehearsal and attend worship and choir rehearsal on Sunday mornings.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with staff and volunteers. 
• A willingness to learn about the music and worship style of the congregation and to help the congregation to grow in their musical repertoire.

Commitment: 4 hours a week onsite. 

Compensation: $100/week
